Lion Plants are a brassica plug plant propagating nursery based in Fishtoft in Boston, Lincolnshire. They have an on-site water reservoir to irrigate their brassica plug plants. Our team travelled to the nursery to install one of our AirPro 6 Diffused Aerator systems with 6-disc style diffusers in a reservoir used for irrigation purposes.

A domestic client in Yeovil, Somerset contacted Heathland Group in April 2021 with requirements for a solar aerator. The customer lives on a farm with a large pond/lake and wanted to improve the pond water quality. Accelerated Blanketweed and Duckweed growth were beginning to degrade the water quality. Duckweed has small, rounded leaves that float on the water surface and looks like young cress. This aquatic weed rapidly grows, quickly covering any water surface unless regularly cleared. The botanical name is L. minor, Lemna minuta and L. gibba. Duckweed can appear at any time of the year so a quick removal solution once identified is key to keeping surface water clear.
Heathland Group were contacted by a private client who had recently moved into a new property. The property had multiple lakes connected via a waterfall system. The top lake in the system appeared to be suffering from low levels of dissolved oxygen. The lakes were also experiencing issues with algal growth and needed an aeration system solution. The design team discussed various standard product options. A custom diffused aeration system was the most suitable product selection because of the layout of the lakes.
