The owner of the Ice Cream Farm in Chester, Cheshire contacted Heathland Group in March 2021. The Ice Cream Farm is over 1000 ft² of ice cream dreams. It’s the world’s largest ice cream parlour and makes 50+ flavours of award-winning Cheshire Farm ice cream for 30+ years. They have over half a million visitors per year. The site holds the Guinness World Record for the largest ice cream shop in the world and the biggest sand and water play area in Europe.
The family tourist attraction recently built a new lake on their site. The lake, with a fountain display, was built near the entrance to the site to be an eye-catching feature of the tourist attraction, both day and night. The lake water was still cloudy from the recent build project. The client requested a Heathland Group fountain with lights as a focal feature and to aerate the lake water. Lake aeration helps to turn cloudy water clear, a necessity for a tourist focal feature.
Heathland Group’s experienced team discussed various fountain and aeration options with the client. A floating aerating fountain was the perfect solution in this case. The Fusion series of aerating fountainsprovides excellent value for money, performing two operations at once. The floating fountain aerates the water body while simultaneously providing a stunning fountain display.
The client ordered a 2HP Fusion lake fountain with an additional Twister module and 4 lamp LED Lighting. The 2 horsepower is one of the largest motor sizes in this range. The fountain has a vertical configuration, 45m cable and is suitable for a minimum water depth of 0.8m. The fusion series comes with a standard display nozzle kit. The patterns included in the standard display kit are – Tornado, Flare, Daffodil, Lily, Super Lily and Cluster Arch. These displays are all unique in their pattern and can be interchanged by the customer to provide a different display every week if desired. The client also ordered the optional Twister display kit to make the fountain display patterns twist and turn.
The client decided to add lighting set to the fountain for maximum impact. An LED 4 Lamp Lighting Kit with 4×30 watt LED Lamps 230v with a mounting kit in cool white colour. A fountain controller and timer for the fountain and lighting were also purchased plus a photocell for lighting. The fountain is secured in the lake with 2x two-leg weighted anchor kits which are comprised of 2x25kg mud weights and 2x armoured rope ties. For extra peace of mind, the Fusion fountain range comes with a 3-year warranty on parts and a 3-year return to base labour warranty.

The client is delighted with their fountain display and particularly loves watching the dawn and dusk exhibition it puts on when lit up. Ice Cream Farm customers love the new addition to the attraction and can often be seen watching the fountains dancing in the lake. The fountain provides a beautiful backdrop to the tulip fields on-site when they are in flower. The additional aeration provided by the aerating fountain is helping to maintain a healthy ecological balance in the lake and clear water.

The 2HP Fusion floating lake fountain is one of the largest motor sizes available in the Fusion Series of lake fountains. As standard, the fusion floating lake fountain comes with 6 display nozzles that can be increased by an additional 9 displays with the additional nozzle package. As with all motor sizes in this range, you can also add an additional twister nozzle which will rotate all of the display except for the tornado, torrent, flare and daffodil.

I have an OxiAir Shallow 900 pump with 5 diffuser plates and I love it. It's almost silent, it fizzes oxygen into my lake in a subtle but visible way and Heathland have been super helpful every time I have had a question.
