Heathland Group è stato contattato dal Great Yarmouth Borough Council per progettare e installare un sistema di aerazione diffuso su misura. Si trattava della recente ristrutturazione dei Venetian Waterways di Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, per fornire l'aerazione dei corsi d'acqua.
Per questo progetto di aerazione, il nostro team di progettazione ha trovato una soluzione. Per garantire che l'intero corpo idrico ricevesse i massimi livelli di aerazione, un disco singolo da 24 Sistema diffusore AirPro è stato installato. L'involucro del compressore per il sistema di aerazione diffusa è stato installato presso l'area principale di navigazione. Ciò ha permesso al team di gestire oltre 1000 m di linee aeree sotterranee lungo le rive dei corsi d'acqua. Pertanto, limitando la quantità di pipeline ponderata necessaria.
Il team ha installato la linea aerea sotterranea intorno alla banca nelle diverse aree in cui sarebbero stati collocati i diffusori. Ciò ha permesso loro di collegare la linea aerea ponderata nella posizione più vicina possibile ai diffusori. I 24 diffusori monodisco sono stati distribuiti e installati all'interno dei corsi d'acqua nelle posizioni appropriate. Garantire che l'intero corpo idrico ricevesse alti livelli di aerazione, aumentando il livello di ossigeno disciolto e migliorando l'equilibrio ecologico dei corsi d'acqua.
Il nostro team ha scelto un sistema di aerazione diffuso piuttosto che superficiale a causa del numero di torsioni e canali stretti incorporati nei corsi d'acqua veneziani. Un corpo idrico come questo avrebbe un disturbo minimo del vento e punti morti ovunque dove non ci sarebbe praticamente alcun movimento dell'acqua.
I sistemi di aerazione diffusa mescolano la colonna d'acqua dal letto del corpo idrico alla superficie. Ciò elimina gli effetti della stratificazione termica in cui l'acqua più calda e ricca di ossigeno sulla superficie viene separata dallo strato più freddo e carente di ossigeno sul fondo. Lo strato è chiamato termoclino. La differenza di densità del termoclino impedisce ai due strati di mescolarsi. Aerando dal letto d'acqua alla superficie, il sistema di aerazione diffusa rompe questi strati. Consente quindi il rilascio di eventuali gas nocivi che possono rimanere intrappolati nello strato inferiore. Il movimento dell'acqua sulla superficie aumenta anche la superficie del corpo idrico, permettendo il verificarsi di livelli più elevati di aerazione naturale.

I have an OxiAir Shallow 900 pump with 5 diffuser plates and I love it. It's almost silent, it fizzes oxygen into my lake in a subtle but visible way and Heathland have been super helpful every time I have had a question. I can't recommend them enough and I know the pump will transform my lake, especially in the hot summer months (I am in Charente in France).
