Floating Fishery Aeration

surface reservoir aerators supplied and installed by heathland group

Floating fishery aeration

We can supply and install a wide range of floating fishery aeration systems. We guarantee that we have something to suit every type of fishery and every requirement amongst our aerators. Aeration is one of the single most important features for maintaining the ecological balance of your fishery.

The most common style of aerator is a floating aeration model. These aeration units propel water into the air with no aid from a nozzle, which would cause flow restrictions and limit their effectiveness. They offer a high volume of surface circulation, helping to improve the oxygen transferred to the water. As the water collides, oxygen is transferred from the air, this then increases dissolved oxygen (DO) levels in the water and helps to maintain a healthy fishery where all forms of life can thrive.

High-end floating fishery aeration – great performance and minimal cost

Heathland Group can provide a large range of fishery aerators and we generally have something to suit any requirement. We can even come up with bespoke solutions if required.

Low maintenance floating fishery aeration that isn’t expensive to run

All our floating fishery aeration units have certain things in common. However, we believe they should all meet high aeration requirements but with low maintenance and cost benefits too. They all exceed the basic requirements of aeration and provide the following features/benefits:-

  • High performance – with flow rates set at 90,000 litres at just 750 watts, this is 50,000 litres more per hour than our competitors with the same 750-watt motor rating.
  • Reliability and longevity – all our floating fishery aerators come complete with 3-year warranties and offer high-end drives. They have environmentally safe oil-filled motors that extend the life of the aerator well beyond the normal limits. Some of the aeration units we’ve installed and maintained are still running after 10 years.
  • Reduced blockages – cheaper floating fishery aeration products still use traditional pumps to transfer water, this means narrow chambers and fine grills that block easily. Even our most basic aerators are different and have larger grills with increased surface areas to reduce suction flows. We combine this with the very same technology we use in our high-end fountains, which means no jamming.
  • Reduced running costs – there is no longer a need for large, inefficient motors that burn power and move very little water. Up-to-date motor technology means vastly increased performance for aerators and higher transfer water flows without the electric bill racing out of control.
